Minnesota Program

Intensive short-term addiction treatment program, lasting six weeks (42 days)

About the program

It's a Minnesota program  a six-week (42-day) intensive short-term therapy program for dependent patients, in which the psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic groups of the "Minnesota" model play a major role.  The model perceives addiction as a chronic progressive disease, which arose not through the fault of the patient, but because of many different factors. The model treats patients with the necessary respect and understanding and respects their personal dignity. We believe that the initial motivation is not decisive for the course and results of the treatment, but it is an important aspect in the therapy.

In the process of treatment, the patient is expected to admit his illness. In the patient's life  complex changes are needed to prevent him from returning to use.

Specialists from various professions are involved in the treatment of the addict - psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers  workers, sober alcoholics with long years of sobriety, nurses, etc. The patient's relatives are also involved in the therapeutic process. AA ideas are used. The goal of treatment is lifelong abstinence.
